Deleting is more effective than just not using Facebook if you want to put a stop to that. Most of the relationships you lose because you don't have Facebook were probably superfluous anyway. WebI'm considering deleting Facebook for good. Mostly because it consumes so much of my time, and all the privacy issues that have come up aren't helping its cause. But I do use it to keep in touch with people across the country, and to organize social events.
